What are the cafeteria prices for the year?
How do I sign up for free or reduced breakfast or lunch?
Applications for Free and Reduced Breakfast or Lunch are available at registration
and in any district office.
How do I pay for my child’s breakfast or lunch?
The district utilizes student management software called PowerSchool for its
breakfast and lunch process. Students in grades 7-12 receive a lunch card
(acts as a debit card) at the beginning of the year for daily use. K-6 students
do not receive a card; however, their account number is manually scanned by
cafeteria personnel at breakfast or lunch as needed. Children are asked to
bring money in an envelope with their name on the front to establish their
account.
How do I find out what my child’s account balance is?
Parents may call the cafeteria (852-2675) between 8:00 and 10:30 AM or between
1:00 and 3:00 PM on school days. If your child has a negative balance of $5.00
or more, you will receive a letter from the school. These letters will be
processed on Wednesdays and they will be either mailed or sent home with your
child. Lunch balances and transactions for students in grades 7-12 whose parents
are registered in PowerSchool can also be found online.
How much money do I need to put in my child’s account?
Any amount is sufficient to open an account. We would prefer that payments
be done on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Payments are to be enclosed
in an envelope marked with your child’s name, grade, and amount. Envelopes
are provided if needed. We encourage making payments by 9:00 AM so that they
can be processed the same day.
Does my child need a lunch card?
Yes, each student in grades 7-12 must have their lunch card if they are planning
to eat in the cafeteria. These students will be issued a card at the beginning
of the year and will receive one free replacement card. After that the replacement
cost will be $5.00 for any additional replacement cards. If a student forgets
or loses their card, they will be able to eat. However, if their card has
not been found or replaced within a week, what is termed a governmental lunch
(i.e., peanut butter or cheese sandwich and milk) will be provided. No a-la-carte
sales are permitted without a card.
What if my child runs out of money?
All students will be able to eat. After three days, a governmental lunch (i.e.,
peanut butter or cheese sandwich and milk) will be provided until the account
is paid. No a-la-carte sales are permitted without money in the account.Employment
